The artist who carved this jade used its natural colors to their best advantage. A slinky Dragon with a spade shaped tail climbs up the side of the jade carved from the rich orange. The body of the jade, which is a pale lavender shade, is carved with persimmons hanging from branches. The symbology of this piece is all about Good Luck. This lovely piece was made into a pendant in the 20th century using 14k gold. The jade carving dates from the 19th century.
