Margaret's Note:  Catalina Island beckons just off the coast of Santa Monica and is a slice of Mediterranean heaven in the Pacific Ocean.  On a clear bright island day, whites and blues dominate the color spectrum.  In the color palette of my Catalina Collection, I chose Lemon Quartz for its strong space in the color spectrum between the white of sand on a sunny day and the rich, golden hues sand assumes during a sunset.  I love the fact that Lemon Quartz is known for its soothing qualities assisting in meditation, where inner peace and higher knowledge can be attained.
