Lava is very grounding and calming.  It influences the Root Chakra and helps one to connect to Mother Earth.  It is considered to be the stone of rebirth and dissolves unneeded layers of emotional attachment.  It keeps things energetically balanced and helps with emotional clearing.  Excellent to aid healing, especially when you are feeling depressed or lacking energy.
