This stately Empire style chest of drawers features ornately carved paw feet at the front, four generous drawers, pillar details and brass hardware. The oval-shaped brass bail pulls have thistle decorations cast into the bail plate. Each drawer has a lock, but no key available. The piece is finished in a rich, dark mahogany veneer that almost reads black in lower lighting conditions. The rear legs are turned and there is also beautifully carved details on the decorative pillars at the sides.

This piece measures 46"W x 23.5"D x 46"H. There is an area of significant hairline scratches on the top (shown) and a few losses to the veneer throughout, which we did our best to document. Drawers open and close well and are sturdy, with dovetail construction.
